Description

Tests for and identifies the percentage of alcohol, the presence of water and the Reid Vapor Pressure of gasoline.  RVP is a measurement of the volatility of gasoline and is based on how easily the fuel evaporates at a given temperature. The more volatile a gasoline (higher RVP), the easier it evaporates.  Determining the difference between summer and winter blend gasoline involves the RVP of the fuel.

  • The J-39383-A Kit includes a graduated cylinder, beaker, Aqua Check paste to identify the presence of water at the tank bottom, a container with 30psi gauge for RVP tests, 125° thermometer and storage case.
